Beschreibung
A traditional Scottish melody which, by varying the rhythm, has already appeared in a wide variety of forms - for example as a march, a polka or a song.
The best-known version is probably the song "The Bog Down in the Valley" (or simply "Rattlin' Bog"), the lyrics of which are about a tree on the moor and from here become a little more specific in each verse (ex: "on that tree there was a branch ..., on that branch there was a limb ..., on that limb there was a nest ...").
