Description
An arrangement of the well-known Scottish classic Auld Lang Syne. The lyrics are by Robert Burns (1759- 1796), but the melody is much older. The piece is sung in large parts of the English-speaking world on New Year's Eve, but it is also often heard at Christmas.
The arrangement works with this well-known melody by underlaying it with animated, improvisatory voices, thus creating an effective contrast to the otherwise powerful passages.
